These days I get asked a lot about my ongoing plans for Timeline 10/27/62; which is a bit tricky because obviously, one is always at pains to avoid putting inadvertent spoilers ‘out there’.
All Along The Watchtower’ is the thirteenth instalment of the series – or rather, ‘saga’ as it has become – and the simple answer to the question: what do I plan to do with the series?
Is that I shall carry on!
At the time of writing Crow On The Cradle (Main Series Book 10) and The American Dream the fifth book in the parallel USA Series are, in the jargon, ‘on the stocks’ for release later in 2017.  These books synchronise the Main and USA series in the winter of 1964-65.
All Along the Watchtower, The American Dream and Crow On The Cradle are effectively direct sequels, so to avoid confusion – and questions about which one to read first – I will be releasing The American Dream on Friday 11th August 2017, and Crow On The Cradle on Friday 27th October 2017.
Early in 2018 there will also be an excursion to Australasia in two books: Cricket On The Beach and Operation Manna, both departures from the style of the Main and USA series prompted by Timeline 10/27/62’s loyal Australasian readership.  These two books ‘fill in’ the gap between Operation Anadyr and Aftermath and their respective sequels, Love is Strange and California Dreaming, exploring what the post-October War looked like from outside the USA and the UK.  I plan to publish these two books in the spring of 2018 (if all goes according to plan Cricket On The Beach in January or February 2018, and Operation Manna in March of April 2018.)
Looking further ahead, in 2018-19 – the Timeline Main series will move on with Book 11:  Independence Day, and Book 12: Changing the Guard (provisionally Book 11 will be released in the summer of 2018 and Book 12 in October 2018).
One other Timeline 10/27/62 note:  in writing the saga ‘so far’ I have written and discarded a lot of material; always a hard thing to do because one has to be immensely careful not to remove, or to damage crucial ‘connective tissue’ within the narrative or in the development of characters.
Starting next year I hope to start putting out short stories based on material I was unable to find room for in the books, and answering several of the questions readers have put to me about the Timeline 10/27/62 world.  I do not have a planned release (or even ‘title’) schedule at this time but details will appear on my web site when this sub-project has advanced somewhat.  Presently, I am looking to publish several ‘short stories’ set in the 1962-64 period during 2018 and 2019.
